Kiku Bronze Pull

This is a fusuma (sliding door) handle made from shakudō (a traditional Japanese copper alloy with a rich, dark patina), and designed in the shape of a kiku (chrysanthemum), a flower associated with elegance, longevity, and imperial heritage in Japan.
Shakudō (赤銅) is a traditional Japanese metal alloy, is primarily made of copper (about 95–96%) mixed with a small amount of gold (typically around 4–5%). This finish gives it a unique, almost lacquer-like appearance, highly valued in traditional Japanese metalwork.
